Like many great ideas, Bank of Obama was conceived at a local pub.  We were debating the merits of the government bailout of banks and auto companies.  The only common ground we found was that we all had our own personal bailout needs.  And so did most of our other friends.  We thought sending bailout checks to friends would be a fun way to make light of the situation.  Since we all had prior experience building web apps it was a no brainer to build a site for the Bank of Obama.  We are an Austin, TX based crew.  Thanks for visiting the site.  Now go bailout some friends!
